MAGDALENA

INFO

Sculpting the sensibilities.

Magdalena Dloniak is a sculptor whose practice revolves around the human form and the sensorial and emotional landscapes it carries. Beginning with live models, her process gradually turns inward, transforming observation into an exploration of the body as a vessel of metaphor and meaning. Dloniak describes her work as a conversation with herself—a semi‑trance state in which each piece emerges instinctively, shaped by intuition and shifting inner states. Working with clay and plaster keeps her grounded; their fragility invites deeper inquiry into vulnerability, and the delicate tensions that define human experience. Dloniak expands her practice through drawing and video, using these media to explore themes of human nature, relationships, memory, and the passage of time. Through this multidisciplinary approach, she aims to create a work that resonates on a visceral level, forging a raw emotional connection between human beings.
